Deep inhales and exhales provide a huge relief to your nervous system and blanket your body with calmness. You quiet your internal dialogue. You become more present. You become more aware.
Yoga teaches you to breathe when holding a pose, even when it’s challenging and uncomfortable. Without breath, there is no yoga. Struggling to breathe while you practice is your body simply saying ‘Back off to the next layer, put your ego aside.’
